This seems to echo my own belief that the Collective Unconscious isn't fixed or set, but is an ongoing, ever changing understanding of the human condition. Hence all the new Archetypes that seem to have appeared during the 20th Century age when communication has increased exponentially allowing ideas to spread further and quicker than ever before. Interesting too that the Man/Machine Archetype first seen in Metropolis is now a universally accepted concept.
